For private hosts
Proper coffee for private celebrations
Bring the atmosphere and quality of a good independent coffee shop to a birthday, anniversary, garden party or family gathering.

We can provide a hosted service, allow guests to purchase drinks individually or create a combination that suits the occasion.
Private bookings are subject to a minimum hire or service value, explained clearly in the quotation.
Suitable occasions
Private hire means one host, one guest list and a service built around the shape of your day rather than a trading pitch.
- Milestone birthdays
- A coffee bar that gives people somewhere to gather early in the day, or something proper to drink late in the evening.
- Anniversaries and vow renewals
- Smaller, slower gatherings where there is time to make the drink each guest actually wants.
- Garden parties
- We work from our own power and water, so a lawn edge, driveway or paddock all suit us.
- Family gatherings and christenings
- Christenings, naming days and Sunday gatherings, where coffee matters more than a bar does.
- At-home celebrations
- Housewarmings, retirements and neighbourhood parties, provided a towing vehicle can reach the pitch.
- Village and club occasions
- Private club days, committee events and village hall gatherings booked by one host rather than open to the public.
Service formats
Three ways to run the coffee. Whichever you choose is agreed in writing before the day.
- Hosted service
- You cover the drinks and guests are never asked to pay. We agree the menu and the service window in advance, and the whole thing is settled as part of your booking.Suits occasions where you want the coffee to feel part of the hospitality.
- Guest-paid service
- Guests buy their own drinks at the hatch. Card and contactless are accepted at the horsebox.Suits longer, more informal gatherings — subject to the minimum hire value below being met.
- Combined
- A hosted opening period, then guest purchases afterwards — or a set number of hosted drinks per guest, issued as tokens.Suits parties with a clear peak, such as arrivals or the hour after a speech.

Minimum commercial requirement
Private bookings are subject to a minimum hire or service value. It is set out in your quotation before you commit to anything.
Nothing is charged on the day that is not written in your quotation first. If a private booking is unlikely to reach our minimum, we will say so when you enquire rather than after you have committed.
Space and access
The horsebox is towed in, levelled and worked from where it stands. If you are unsure whether your space suits, send a photograph of the access with your enquiry.
- Power and water
- The horsebox is fully self-sufficient. It carries its own power and water, so no hook-up, generator or outside tap is needed at your address.
- Ground
- We need firm, reasonably level ground that a towing vehicle can reach and leave again. Gravel, hardstanding, a driveway or dry grass all work; waterlogged ground does not.
- Waste
- We take our own waste away with us. Cups and grounds do not become your problem at the end of the evening.
Travel
Any travel cost is shown as a separate line in your quotation, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
- Where we start from
- We travel out from Bulford, Wiltshire, across Wiltshire, Hampshire and the surrounding counties.
- How far we travel
- Standard pricing covers private bookings within 30 miles of Bulford. We do go further for events that suit us — just ask, and we will tell you honestly whether it works.
- Travel charges
- Travel within 30 miles is included in the quoted price. Beyond that, any travel cost is itemised in your quote before you commit, so there is nothing to discover later.

Frequently asked questions
- Can my guests pay for their own drinks at a private party?
- Yes. Guests can buy their own drinks at the hatch, you can host the coffee entirely, or the two can be combined — for example a hosted first hour, then guest purchases. Card and contactless are accepted.
- Can you come to a private house?
- Yes, provided a towing vehicle can reach and leave the pitch, and the ground is firm and reasonably level. We bring our own power and water, so nothing is needed from the house.
- How far do you travel?
- We are based in Bulford, Wiltshire, and our standard pricing covers events within 30 miles of base — which takes in most of Wiltshire and a good part of Hampshire. We do travel further for events that suit us, and any travel cost is set out in your quote before you commit to anything.
