Speciality coffee for your wedding day—and the morning after

Give your guests a proper coffee break.

Gallop & Grind can welcome people as they arrive, serve while photographs are taken, provide an evening espresso bar or return for coffee and pastries the following morning.

We shape the service around your venue, timings, guest numbers and plans, with hosted, guest-paid and combined options available.

The Gallop & Grind horsebox serving coffee to a bride, groom and guests outside a red-brick country house at a wedding.

Coffee at the moments guests need it most

Guest arrival
Something warm in people's hands while they find their seats, particularly for early arrivals and outdoor ceremonies.
After the ceremony
The first natural gap of the day, when everyone is standing about and glad of a reason to gather.
During photographs
Coffee keeps guests occupied and in one place while the couple and photographer disappear for a while.
Afternoon cake or dessert
Espresso and hot drinks alongside cake, dessert or an afternoon tea service.
Evening espresso service
An alternative to the bar late on, and welcome for guests who are driving home.
Morning-after coffee
For guests staying at the venue or camping nearby, a proper coffee makes the morning considerably easier.
Supplier or bridal-party preparation
Coffee during getting-ready and setup, for the wedding party and the people working the day.
A cake stand of bakes in the horsebox serving hatch beside the handwritten drinks list
Fresh espresso pouring into a Gallop & Grind branded compostable cup from the Astoria lever machine.

Service formats

How drinks are paid for is agreed before the day, and can change part-way through it.

Hosted service
You pay for an agreed menu, number of drinks or service period.
Guest-paid service
Guests purchase their own drinks. This is normally subject to suitable attendance, service time and commercial arrangements.
Combined service
Begin with a hosted allowance and move to guest-paid service afterwards.

Venue requirements

We confirm the practical detail with your venue or coordinator directly before the day, so nothing is discovered on the morning.

Off-grid system
The horsebox is self-sufficient. It carries its own power, so no generator or venue hook-up is required and we are not competing with the caterer for sockets.
Water
We carry our own water for service, so a tap at the pitch is convenient but not required.
Final numbers
Final guest numbers and menu choices are confirmed 14 days before the wedding, at the same point the balance falls due. Small changes after that are usually fine — tell us and we will do what we can.

Wedding questions

Can drinks be prepaid?
Yes. Drinks can be hosted by the organiser and settled as part of the booking, so guests are not asked to pay on the day.
Can guests purchase their own drinks?
Yes. Depending on the booking, guests can buy their own drinks, the organiser can host the bar, or the two can be combined — for example a hosted first hour followed by guest purchases.
Do you serve decaf?
Yes. Decaf and alternative milks are part of the standard offer rather than something to request specially.
Do you offer non-coffee drinks?
Yes. Tea, hot chocolate and selected seasonal drinks can be included in the agreed event menu.
Do you need electricity or water?
No. The horsebox is fully self-sufficient — it carries its own power and water, so no generator or site hook-up is required.
How far do you travel?
We are based in Bulford, Wiltshire, and our standard pricing covers events within 30 miles of base — which takes in most of Wiltshire and a good part of Hampshire. We do travel further for events that suit us, and any travel cost is set out in your quote before you commit to anything.
How is the date secured?
A deposit of 25% of the quoted total secures the date, and the balance is due 14 days before the event. Final guest numbers and menu choices are confirmed at the same 14-day point. Our full terms, including the cancellation schedule, are set out on the booking terms page.
